Hurditch Architecture is an RIBA Chartered practice providing quality architectural services genrally within the Penzance area, Penwith and the west of Cornwall but occasionally further afield. The practice was founded by James Hurditch who has created a strong brand of economical style and ecological strategy.

Designing a 'sustainable' or 'near-zero energy' building is, simply, part of a 21st century architect's brief.

" Established in 2007, Hurditch Architecture has developed an imaginative, site specific and crafted approach to its work. We are equally interested in how a building sits in a landscape and relates to the larger environment as we are in the arrangement of the finer details of the construction. Our work is driven by ‘appropriateness’ – a response to a particular function (the brief), in a particular place (the site), at a particular time (the 21st century) brought into being through an expressive but pragmatic approach to building construction. Each detail of a project needs to fulfil its basic function whilst also communicating the idea and spirit of the larger work in which it fits. This analytical and considered approach to building, rather than simply a manifesto to style is the driver and hallmark of our work. "
Dealing with a variety of projects the practice remains primarily focused on working with individuals and their homes where every project receives a continued attention to detail at each and every stage.
