Kipper's Hut, Lamorna, Cornwall.

A two storey two bedroomed dwelling that modest in size creates several spaces with a sense of interest and can also operate 'off gird'.
The building has a simple repetitve timber frame structure that could be readily transported and constructed on a site that is dificult to access, is energy efficient with high levels of insualtion and maximises daylight and sunlight to proivde passive solar space heating and good levels of natural lighting to the interior.
Besides the practical considerations the interior closely relates to its surroundings. The living accommodation opens west onto the orchard infront and there is a raised den projecting outward addressing the views southwards down the valley. A bridge gives access
to the woodland rising up behind the building. Upstairs is a platform
with a large skylight that slides open for dark sky viewing at night.
