Botallack Cricket Club, St. Just, Cornwall.

Conversion of an old stone building that has in the past been stables for Wheal Owles mine and the village cricket club pavillion. This three bedroomed dwelling required a new two storey extension replacing an old lean-to storage shed, giving enough floor area for a large open plan first floor living, dining, studio and kitchen area.

The building balances a sensitive resotration of the orininal stone walls with modern interventions that are pragmatic and efficient, continuing the historically robust nature of this building in an exposed coastal location.
