Wheal Loor, Botallack, Cornwall.

A sustainably built detached studio to provide additional self contained annexed accommodation ancillary to the main dwelling. The structure is timber framed and walls are timber clad with a corrugated sheet metal roof. These materials are relatively light weight so are more efficient and easier to transport and handle, timber is also carbon neutral and metal sheet roofing has the advantage of being hardwearing but also ultimately reclyable at the end of its lifespan.
The accommodation is compact delivering as much usable space as possible in a tight footprint, keeping the aparent massing to a minimum.
