Boskennal Mill, Ludgvan

BRIEF

Located in a secluded valley not far from St Ives, was a dis-used former mill building and animal shelter. Perfect for redeveloping into a modest sized well appointed two bedroomed dwelling including a new single storey extension.

DESIGN

The challenge was to create enough habitable accommodation within the shell of the old stone barn while maintaining the character of the building. The design of the dwelling also required careful consideration because as the name suggests, Boskennal Mill, the building is in a valley next to a stream and needed to take into account the potential flood risk.
